LABORER

The Borough of Prospect Park, Passaic County seeks a qualified individual for a full-time position as a Laborer to perform routine work in the Department of Public Works (DPW). Duties include road and roadside maintenance, construction, maintenance, repair and cleaning of streets, drains, sewers, snow removal, parks and playgrounds, public facilities, leaf, brush and bulk-item collection. Building maintenance and / or carpentry skills a plus.  Good starting pay / benefits and room for advancement. 

Successful applicant is required to possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, CDL Class A or Class B preferred. Must obtain CDL Class B within one year of hire. Successful applicants must undergo a background check and drug test along with a drivers abstract prior to appointment. Heavy manual labor in adverse weather conditions required.
