As a Maverik Regional Transportation Crude Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing crude transportation-related operations while managing staff that assists with transportation activities such as dispatching, routing, and tracking. You will also ensure that staff members comply with safety rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Leadership to direct reports, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and development
Direct and coach drivers in developing and implementing best practices, measuring operational efficiencies, continuously improving productivity and safety, and achieving operational standards of excellence
Ensure necessary driver and equipment safety records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines
Act as the driver advocate with internal departments to answer driver questions and resolve driver concerns and issues
Ensure coordination of dispatch communications with Customers, Suppliers, and Drivers
Manage the P&L of the region and determine trends and areas of opportunity
Advise others on cost control methods and resolve budgetary issues
Coordinate with Lead Drivers and Dispatch to manage the maintenance of all equipment in the assigned region
Facilitate training to ensure that all drivers fully comply with standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and company policies and procedures
Initiates initial response to emergencies, such as motor vehicle accidents, complete accident reports, and assist in investigations as necessary
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT), governmental, safety regulations, policies, and standards
Maintain a flexible schedule in reaction to business needs; weekends and night-time hours may be required; overnight travel required up to 50% to Roosevelt Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

Qualification: Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5 + Experience in the transportation of crude required.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
A current CDL with professional driving experience preferred
Knowledge of DOT regulatory requirements (local, state, federal)
Knowledge of transportation industry standards and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
