Certified Diesel Fleet Technician

Job Summary: Fare Foods is looking for a Certified Diesel Fleet Technician for their trucks and reefer trailer fleet. The fleet is 15 trucks and over 30 reefer trailers. Fare Foods has been in the Southern Illinois area for 30 years now, and is a professional food service company that supplies concessionaires with products weekly. It is a full-time position, with experience of working on semi-trucks, reefers, and some warehouse equipment.

Requirements/Qualifications: •Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections •Diagnosing and repairing all trucks, reefers, or warehouse equipment, and sending appropriate work to other shops if necessary. •Experience in both Tractor and Trailer PMs and repairs •Must have own tools •Experience with AC and Electrical •Self-motivated and self-starter on all maintenance projects •Speak with drivers weekly about any repairs needed to trucks or trailers •Performing safety and legally required inspection •Keying in work preformed into computer, and approving maintenance or part bills •Assist in afterhours breakdowns, on our trucks and reefer service calls •D.O.T. and Air Brake Certifications are a must •Day shift schedule Monday- Friday, and part time Saturday
