As a Driver at Atlantic Doors and Hardware you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products to our valued customers, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Wages: $18 - $20 per hour Depending on Experience
- Load trucks with products for delivery and ensure proper loading for efficient unloading.
- Plan and follow delivery routes using maps and other resources.
- Adhere to all traffic rules, regulations, and DOT guidelines while driving.
- Maintain a current and valid Florida Driver's License without violations.
- Deliver products to customers while ensuring the safety and integrity of the items.
- Collect plans from customers as required, verifying the accuracy of paperwork.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks according to manufacturer specifications and report any issues promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman.
- Consistently meet or exceed performance goals, schedules, and budgets while upholding quality and safety standards.
- High School diploma or GED (may be waived for candidates with relevant experience).
- 2-3 years of experience driving company vehicles.
- CDL Class B with Air Brake Certification Required
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and address vehicle issues.
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and use arms, hands, vision, and voice effectively.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with basic math skills.
- Willingness to work in occasional fuel fumes in the truck cab and various weather conditions.
